WHY did you have to bring back those memories?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I miss the Expos! I miss laying in bed listening to Elliott Price, (no relation to Carey), broadcast the games on The Team 900. Sometimes I find the Nationals broadcast but it isn't the same. I think there are only 8 Expos left from the team that lost 9-4 to the Marlins on September 29 2004.
I still call the Nats, my Expos.
Yeah I know!!!

Better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved. And oh how we loved. Like a jilted lover, still there...but never again here.

A three-two pitch, a ground-ball toward the second baseman a throw to firs and the Expos are history. 1969-2004.

My picture of Youppi really sent you on a trip down memory lane, didn't it? :)

Oh, my sister! Poor Mackay has NO idea what those late two paragraphs mean....to translate...they are the words of our broadcaster, "EP" Elliott Price, and the last paragraph is his last call.

I gotta run now... my elderly neighbor can't figure out how to chat with me on Hello, and I'm going to go introduce ehr to the ENTER key ;)

Sorry PSF ( Praying Sens Fan ) ....

I grew up in the Eastern Townships.... we moved to Belleville and when we got to Ontario, found out that the AM radio station in Belleville broadcast every single Expo's game....I was SOOOO excited..... all of my growing up years, I listened to LOTS Of Expos games on the radio... we went to the home opener nearly every year ( either my dad and my brother usually, and me sometimes ) ......

Dave Van Horne and Duke Snider were the broadcasters then... I loved Dave Van Horne... he was the voice that I will always remember...... sigh....

sorry for bringing back the memories... and yes, LPP I Had no idea that those were the last words he spoke... they are sad words actually......

Oh, don't take it personally, my sister's just giving you a hard time. She does it to herself every time she brings out that tape with the tribute to the 'spos and she has memorized every line of it....

We have Van Horne's voice on tape, too. He was there at the last Expos game. I love his voice, too.

So you grew up in the eastern townships? Nice out there...we went out there once, and it was a beautiful drive.

I've got to get to bed now!

God bless you,
LPP
