Sorry about the Habs...I felt badly for them. That second goal of Philly's was questionable, but once it was allowed, I think it did the Habs more harm than it did Philly good.

Better luck with the Jays!

Goldwings....the JAYS?! My favorite baseball team is....uh...actually I think I dumped baseball after the steroids stuff and after they took away our Expos!

Mr. Mackay,

My brother opened your blog earlier and I think we gasped at the familiar patch...all i could see was how I didn't cut it clean enough on the side...anyway. :)

Who are you going for now? I sure hope those TML fans haven't found your number...maybe they find it like I found your address. ;) I like Pittsburgh in the East because they deserve a Cup, and the habs ARE winning it for their Centennial year next year, right?! I just was on HMI's website and I got goosebumps looking at the pics of Montreal as they advertised for the NHL All-Star Breakfast...that sounds so cool, the All -Star game right here in Montreal. My sister likes the idea of that breakfast being right here...we work for our aunt's Christian resource website, and she has promised us press passes for anything we want to go to, so my sister is dreaming that we might get a press pass to that breakfast...dreaming...I told her they probably don't even give out press passes! Speaking of HMI, I noticed your brother is a chaplain...I never knew that before! I know all about Isaac and Eva, though :)

Are you still flying your Habs flag? We are...just put it to half-mast ;) Remember, they were supposed to finish 13th according to the Hockey News, and I think McGuire picked them to finish 10th...nobody thought they'd go THIS far. I just feel so sorry for Carey, he sounded awful last night after the game.

God bless you,
LPP

I don't know who I'm going for.... I honestly have lost heart in the whole thing....

It'll be a lot less stressful now that the Habs are out... no more obnoxious emails from the hab haters of the world!!

and I won't care who wins....

who are you cheering for?

I would love to go to the Allstar game.... but in all honesty, I think it's more fun to watch a game that has significance.... where the Habs were playing a rival .. there's more excitement I think!!

I hope you get to go to the HMI Breakfast!!!

How is your dad?? we are still praying for him!!!

Hebrews,

I only made the comment about the Jays, because I knew that Paul had tickets to go see them play. :)

Blessings!

To tell the truth I cried after the game. Actualy I started crying when the flyers scored the 5th goal.
I don't understand the fans that blame everything on Carey, he's the reason the team got where they did!
Okay yeah I do ALLWAYS feel sorry for the goalies. Being one myself I kind of know what they go through. And I know that Marty Biron DID slide that puck out of the net before the ref got there to see. Kovy had a goal, Biron stole it. I know those tricks!!!

Sorry for rambling...I feel better!!

Go Pittsburgh!!!

Still sad

I'm still sad too!! not as GRUMPY as I was, mind you!!

I don't blame Carey at all.. you're right.. they got where they did because he was spectacular!!!

and you can ramble ANYTIME... isn't that the name of the BLOG?! lol

and to be truthful...I've needed to vent too!!! I've started several posts in the last 2 weeks..... that I couldn't bring myself to publish.... i was frustrated, and annoyed with a lot of things..... and I vented on my blog... but they seemed sooo negative, that I just deleted them after a couple of days.... without ever being published...

Zig Ziglar advocates doing that.... write a letter, blame someone, and then tear the letter up... it helps to get it out!!

I've written 12 of those letters to Bob Cole lolol

have a FUN DAY my friend!!

I took the Habs flag to Champlain, NY this morning and got "Looser!" from a guy that, maybe he was telling me that HE is a looser(he has an anti-war sticker on his car). Some people!!! I still love the Habs and I'm proud of them!!! And PJ Stock can shut up! (I never thought I'd say that about the guy, but really!)

P J Stock can't even get one sentence out in order.... it's very comical to watch!!! He really has energy but he is the very worst commentator that CBC has.... i find it very interesting that they keep him on..... not sure what the point is... maybe they are grooming him to replace someone.. but MAN OH MAN!!!!

ok, now I FEEL better! lol

don't be ashamed to wear your flag.... I told Abby that.... she cried too, just so you know... ( where as I just got grumpy! ) ...

and my BROTHER was in a foul mood, according to his status line on Facebook!!!

true blue fans have this in common:

[1] we don't stop cheering for our team when they lose

[2] for the most part, we don't have a hate on for another team because of history...

[3] we get tired of other fans not really caring who WINS as long as Montreal loses....

i find that to have been the one big frustrations this year.... a lot of people who really didn't care who won... cause their team was out already.... all they wanted was for Montreal to lose...

one friend of my daughters ( in grade NINE, no less ) started cheering for the flyers... not cause she liked Philadelphia.. but because she knew Abby liked Montreal...

kids like that, pick up hatred from their parents.... and it's kinda sad really...

I am trying to get my kids to understand the fine line... between loving Montreal and not hating the others...

sigh.....

Go Habs Go..... I don't know if I'll watch the pens.. I'm tired of hearing Umbergers name being anounced after every other goal LOL

Dear Mr. Mackay,

I've been meaning to come here to write you back, but my aunt has kept my computer time tied up with her site...and I still haven't gotten close to the two pages of events she asked me to fill!

I don't really care who wins right now...that MAY change when we get to the final...I went for Carolina two years ago just because I loved how outspoken Cam Ward was about his faith. Knowing there is a Christian or two on a team will sway me right away! I think I like Pittsburgh right now, but I still dislike Therrien since his days here in QC--he was a really mean and nasty guy...oh, yes, that's not very Christ-like of me to be so unforgiving, is it?!!

I don't think I'd ever pay to go to any game, because it costs so much...we could go camping in Ontario (that's like heaven to us children!) with that kind of money. We talk together that when we're older and married we'll go with our spouses, but I'm sure we'll view money the same way. We collect bottles and cans and return them for the 5, 10, and 20 cent deposits, and we often think in terms of nickels and dimes...you'd never believe how much money we made in just a few years...over a thousand!

My dad has his days...he got word from the doctor last week that the last scan showed signisficant improvement since November. He has an appointment tomorrow...we'll see what happens after that. We live one day at a time...today was his 54th birthday. He has pain at times--the new meds doesn't seem to last as long as they said it would, or work as well.

Thank you for your prayers for my dad. I appreciate them a lot, and I know my dad does, too.

God bless you,
LPP

PS
Hey, don't pick on PJ Stock's TV performance...you should hear him on radio!!! Personally, I've loves listening to the guy since I first heard him as he learned the ropes of radio as a guest. That was about two years ago...but I ddin't realize until someone pointed it out a few months ago, that the guy never can keep the same topic. He'll say, "Yeah, the habs...they played well last night. Koivu, he's doing okay. You know yesterday I was at the grocery store with Ty (his only son--he has three daughters). We were buying some groceries. So, what about that football game?..." Seriously, it is so comical! Not all of his subjects are...but that's sports radio, as I have learned. As a Christian, I just have to stay near the switch and flip it off or tune it out frequently!
