Nice flag...is it double sided? We got a box of double sided ones from Kanata, and are selling them on our street corner. Since we got the box last wednesday, we've sold 54, enough to cover our expenses. Then today we had this grumpy Francophone FEMALE police officer tell my sister she can't sell the flags without a permit...the girl wasn't even from our station, what does she know?! All the police around here see us all the time and know us as law-abiding citzens...whatever. So, she cared my siblings indoors for a few minutes before I told them she was long gone and all our local officers have not minded us selling flags, so they went back out there.

Enjoy the game. My dad let us watch two periods...a real treat. We usually just watch one.

God bless you,
LPP

Oh, people are honking and driving around here, it is so crazy!! My neighbors only do that for soccer matches...this is a European area. My next door neighbor who I never knew cared a thing about hcokey, just left with the flag he bought from us on his car...man, I felt like asking for a ride for a moment....and then I reconsidered that that is the silliest thought I ever had. I just want to get in the action and scream...I don't know WHEN I'm going to finally fall asleep tonight!

I wish I was there...............

I have not seen Habs fever like this in a very long time!!!

nor have I been this stressed about a series ...

I think the last time I got this worked up over a hockey series was in the 80's... and i'm almost sure it was BOSTON then too!!!! ugh!!!

loved your story about the cop and the flags.... we found our flag ... my son found it on the street in Toronto... he stopped traffic, and his friend jumped out and grabbed the flag..

it is two sided.... but the seam is starting to tear.... if the Habs make it to the Finals, this one will be worn out.. and I'll be emailing you to order a new one!!!

I'm shocked...where's your Mtl jersey???

As for the flag, you should have unfurled it...it looks like you've got the Union Jack!!!

Mr. Mackay...

After the riots, be glad you weren't here...and I was dreaming of how nice it would be to be strolling through the streets of downtown last night...back to reality!

We found our flag on an overpass, but without a stick, so we used the stick from another car flag we had! Good for your son, you raised him to be resourceful :)

Oh, on the nerves issue, are we nervous people supposed to lose weight between now and Thursday, or are we still eating because we want so bad to face Philly rather than NY, and we can't wait to find out who it will be?! I've got to find someone's dog to walk now...ever since my client moved away, I've hardly walked the family dog, and between that and constantly snacking, I feel the weight coming on...ouch!

Oh, I hope you find this funny, because I couldn't stop laughing at the thought... my sister and I heard an ad for Ever Cleanse today...some supplemental powder that detoxifies your body and helps you quickly lose weight. I remarked to my sister, "Mr. Mackay could use that...that's pretty easy." Just then the guy on the ad said, "easily mixes into any food or liquid." "Chocolate pudding!" my sister exclaimed, "He could just mix it into his chocolate pudding!" I thought I would never get over the thouhgt of that!

(You can get a free sample by calling some 1-800 number if you interested... :)

God bless you,
LPP, eagerly awaiting Thursday

psssstt.....in keeping with family tradition (at least the three brothers and dad)and if I am going to cheer at all, I must support the Montreal Canadians...(I just didn't know they were called the HABS since I havent watched since 1977)how's that for loyalty :)

so...just between you and me...I don't cheer for ANY NY teams but I do remain partial to any and all Colorado teams

Well, I've lurked on this site long enough...time to post a comment. Just thought I would let you know that your Habs are going to have a rough time getting past my Flyers! :0)

I know how nervous you must have been...I've been the same way the past three games for Philly, but last night was the WORST! As soon as Lupul got the game winning goal my heart immediately slowed back down to normal.

Thist should be an interesting series...but if Montreal *does* manage to win, then I will cheer for them the rest of the way. I'm not cheering for New York or Pittsburgh at all...you couldn't pay me to cheer for them!

Enjoy the games!

Julie,

You were the first person I thought of when I heard the Habs would be playing Montreal...well, you and Steve Downie, I don't know which I thought of first :) He better not skate into Carey Price, or hit from behind any of the Habs, okay? Oh, that gives me the shivers, the thought of the Habs facing Downie! Go, Habs, Go!
