You can say goodbye to that pot!!!
Hope your smoke alarm didn't go off!!
EEEEEWWWWW!!!! I've messed up alot in the kitchen, but I've never burned eggs. I did boil them until the yolk turned green. When the yolk turns green it means all the protein was cooked out of it. They lokked so gross I couldn't eat them. And last night my mom started to peel the shell off an egg for her salad, and the white was green. I guess the chicken sat on it too long! The farmer told us that's a problem in the summer.
WOW !!! LOL !
Now that is what I call an
eggsperience!!
way to go
you shoulda bought a MAC! :-)
A MACCCCCCCCCC????
I would STILL be downstairs learning how to use it!!!!
Umm...could you possibly share with us Cooking Tips # 1- 233?? They don't ALL have to come with photo's tho...we'll just use our imaginations if that's ok!
I did the same thing about 29 years ago. I was 9 months pregnant, went to my mother-in-law"s house just next door, "just for a minute" while I was hard boiling some eggs for egg salad for lunch..... about an hour later I remembered!!!! I ran as fast as I could with my big belly.... the smoke alarm was going off, and the smell of burnt chicken lasted for about a month. My husband was just coming in from the field after working there all morning...after working a midnight shift at the factory he worked at. I met him outside laughing, so I wouldn't cry... asked him how tired he was, too tired to wash the ceiling??? He did not find it nearly as funny as I did. It exploded and was in 3 rooms, hanging from the ceiling. I rarely make egg salad anymore.....
That's why Flylady (www.flylady.net) says Flybabies are not allowed to cook things on "High."
As an alternative, DO NOT be tempted to microwave them instead. Michael did that before I met him and he reports that the door BLEW OFF the microwave. Apparently eggs can be used as explosive devices under proper conditions.
