Have any idea what this is?

At one of the farms I inspected yesterday, the owner showed this to me.......











it's a cabbage planter....it is way cool: you fill the thick ( Rusty ) part of the wheel with seeds.... and then the seeds fall out of the holes evenly as you turn the wheel.... it's pretty neat, when you see automation like that, that is a hundred years old....
