Oh, finally you got it! I was sooo concerned about that...sure, go ahead, it's all written anonymously, so that's fine with me. Did you like the hockey stamps I used?? I was so concerned I ddin't have enough postage on it.
God bless you today and always,
LPP
So, the game is tied 2-2, I come over here for some stress relief (I was praying for Habs DURING the game), and there's nothing new...except I realize I was so excited you got the package, I forgot to say, Go Habs Go! =)
You know that ad for Home Depot where the lady talks to the box? Well, my siblings really find that one funny! My sister is really crazy on electricity-saving, and drives me crazy...so anyway, we're leaving the basement after watching the 1st period, and she turns off the light while I'm still down there...then she turns off the next light while I'm still in the stairwell. Finally I catch up to her in the kitchen and whisper under my breath, "Maybe the earth has a crush now on you, too!" She whirled around, "WHAT was that?!" I just giggled...my dad was right in front of us, and there was no way I was repeating that one! I'm still laughing...I hope she's asleep by the time I crawl into the bunkbed beneath hers!

Go Habs Go!!!
ok, that was a COMPLETE squeaker..... I wasn't on the edge of my seat... I was quietly resolved to the fact that Montreal got outplayed...
sat there spouting off at the tv, telling Bob Cole to shut up about every 19 seconds....
and tore at my fingernails... you KNOW I'm nervous when....
sigh.... We didn't play well enough to win that one.... next game is going to be just as tough I think..
Go Habs..
and by the way.... when I saw the Home Depot ad tonight, cracked me right up.....!!
Your Habs lucked out on that one...a couple of questionable calls from the refs. Philly SO had that game in the bag...one minute left and there goes the game.
I'll bet I yelled at the tv more than you did... :0)
I'll give you that Julie....
we didn't play well enough to win tonight.... *( listen to me... WE didn't play ... sheesh... the last time I had SKATES on was 2001 ... and the last time before that was 1988!!!!!! )
aaaaaaaanyway.... 19 seconds left to tie it and 48 seconds of overtime... it was exciting...
I got up from the couch and said to my dad... Hey.. lets go downtown and set a couple of police cars on fire...
He didn't think that was very funny at ALL ...
sigh.....!!!!
Boy, the HABS really must have played, badly...I don't think I've ever heard Paul state so many times before that, "we didn't play well enough to win"!!!!
Oh, brother, does Montreal sound THAT bad now?! It was just the crazy Frenchies that set cars on fire...like I pointed out to my mom: Italy won the World Cup two years ago...no riots, no fire, just honking, parading, cheering, screaming...They drove their Ferraris and motorcycles around, but the last thing the Mafia needs is to have the police stop them after unruly behaviour and find a stash of...whatever!
Then four years ago Greece won the euro Cup...again, we cheered, we screamed, we ran around like crazy, honked horns and all...but they didn't do any damage to anything. Oh, yes, I'm neither Greek nor Italian, but you would have thought I was if you saw me then!
You should make a list (since your so good at listign things from what I've read) of the pronunctiation mistakes Bob Cole makes on the names, and words, too...I heard KOVU instead of KOIVU, BEARON, instead of BIRON...and there were probably more. If it weren't for CBC's 10second delay, we would have our radio on and the TV volume down. But that would probably cause a fight, because I like listening to the game in French because it's exciting and helps me with the language, and my brothers could care less about learning during a GAME, they just want to HEAR what is going on :)
Julie, I thought of you whenever I saw Downie on the ice. I kept telling him to leave Carey (and everyone else) alone, but I don't think he heard me ;)
Oh, one more thing, Mr. Mackay, do people actually drive around honking in your area after ANYBODY wins? It's a European thing, I think...we aren't civilized here in my neck of the woods, and we love it!
God bless you,
LPP
