Computer Guts

I had to replace the CD Burner in my Brantford computer on the weekend... it would PLAY cd's and copy stuff FROM cd's but wouldn't burn..... I bought a Sony burner, for $59.99 ..... installed it Saturday afternoon.... and when I put it back together..... stuff wouldn't work.. MSN messenger wouldn't work, I was beginning to panic... went through 8 zillion " troubleshooting " screens, when they suggested that I check the time and date on the computer....

sure enough, it'd reset itself... to January 2003 ... doh...

fixed that , and DING.... things started working again..... whew!
