Thanksgiving Supper

Well, our turkey supper was last night..... it wasn't much to remember... in fact, I'm trying to forget! The gravy was so thick you had to use a fork, and the turkey wasn't cooked as well as I'd have liked.... ( not that we've lost any kids from botulism! ... yet .... )

I took a couple of photos this morning out the front window of my townhouse... it was kind of neat... The sun was up in the east, shining on the building across from me, and the moon was still up in the west.... I thought it was neat anyway!

I'm sure the four of you had a great time together, so don't worry about dinner. It happens to all of us at some point.

One time, our gravy turned out so thick and dark that my uncle asked why my mom was serving chocolate pudding with the main course!!!

Hey, I've discovered that you can't put flour and hot water into a gravy shaker . . . it EXPLODES!! Yep, a lovely glue-like substance all over the kitchen one year. Also the same year I boiled the potatoes dry because I was cleaning the glue off the ceiling.

Truthfully, our day doesn't sound so bad at all.

Re: Chocolate Pudding

Glad I made you laugh. As for the uncle...he wasn't invited back [only kidding].

In later years, Mom looked back at that an laughed, but I'm sure she didn't see the humour at the time.
